Todd’s Origin Story
Todd Scott brings a playbook full of real-world experience, financial acumen, and hard-earned wins across both the corporate and athletic worlds. With a background in corporate finance and a long career guiding business development strategy, Todd’s no stranger to high-stakes decisions or clutch execution.
He has advised on everything from strategic planning and funding proposals to operations and marketing, primarily within real estate and business consulting. Whether he’s mentoring startups or mapping scalable growth for seasoned enterprises, Todd delivers bold strategy rooted in real results.
Todd holds a BS in General Studies with a business concentration from the University of Louisiana–Lafayette. He’s a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional, earned certification in Technology Commercialization from the University of Houston, and is certified in the Growth Wheel method. His expertise has been recognized nationally by the Association of Small Business Development Centers.
After eight seasons in the NFL, Todd didn’t just retire — he pivoted. He went from making big plays on the field to making bigger ones in business. His journey from pro athlete to investor and real estate developer wasn’t a fallback plan — it was a well-executed transition play.
Todd used his gridiron discipline to identify, develop, and execute high-value investment strategies. His ability to anticipate opportunity and call the right plays made him a trusted advisor in property acquisition, business planning, and wealth building.
What started with a few single-family properties turned into a thriving real estate portfolio. His model now powers Great Scott Enterprises, a full-service business development and consulting firm helping others secure passive income, long-term equity, and entrepreneurial wins.
Todd is now on a mission to coach former, active, and transitioning athletes through one of their most important seasons yet — financial freedom after football. He helps players understand how to leverage their net worth, build passive income streams, and create generational wealth through real estate.
A Galveston native and former All-Pro safety, Todd credits both his on-field mentors and off-field guidance — including Pastor Kirby John Caldwell and his father, Charles Scott — for shaping his core values of faith, education, hard work, and mentorship.
He’s walked this path and built the playbook himself. Now he’s using it to show the next wave of athletes how to protect the ball, move the chains, and retire with purpose.
